When to pick which
- Airfoil: if you only send from a Mac and want to play to speakers and devices running Airfoil Satellite.
- WaveSync: if you only use Apple devices and mostly play YouTube or your own tracks.
- AirPlay 2: if everything you own is Apple and you have AirPlay speakers or an Apple TV.
- Sonos: if you want fixed speakers at home and are happy to buy them.
- Allsono: if you want to mix Mac, Android phones and iPhones with the sound of all your apps, without buying anything.
Where Allsono still has limits
- On Android, Spotify doesn't share its sound; use a Mac as the source instead.
- An iPhone as the source runs slightly ahead of the speakers itself.
- Every device has to be on the same Wi-Fi network.
Try it yourself
Allsono is in beta and free for Mac, Android and iPhone.
